Sun Facts

Hi, guys, this is a whole blog of the Sun!

See the source imageOur sun is the closest star from the Earth and it is the 2nd hottest thing, the Milky Way. Did you know that the sun had to grow just like you but not in the mum's tummy?!? The sun was born in the centre of a nebula and then all of its cloud and dust turned into our sun! It is now standing in the Orion Spur which is in one of the arms of the Milky Way! The sun is divided into 6 major parts called(first layer to the last layer ) Corona, chromosphere, Photosphere, convective Zone, Radiative zone and the core. To the calculation of scientists, there is approximately 91% hydrogen, 8.9% Helium,0.1% heavier elements such as nitrogen and carbon.the core can reach up to 15,000,000 degrees and in Fahrenheit 27,000,000 Fahrenheit. It also contains 99.8%of the Earth's mass and 0.2% is the mass of our planets. The Sun’s gravity is so powerful that it holds 8 planets, Dozen of dwarf planets, 170 moons and loads of comets and asteroids! Without the sun all the planets would drift off into deep space! We can see sunspots because there have high magnetic fields. With the sun’s atmosphere, it makes beautiful aurors which is on this planet called the Northern lights and the southern lights. The sun will not live forever and in 6.5 billion years it will expand so that Mercury, Venus, Earth and even Mars and the others will float away into outer space.
